Delighted to be able to welcome UWE students and Senior Lecturer of Economics, Dr. Sahand Panah, to the House of Commons today. I very much enjoyed meeting them all and had a great discussion about national and local politics.
Today in Defence Questions I asked Secretary of State for Defence, Ben Wallace MP, what steps he is taking to enhance our sovereign defence manufacturing capability.

An interesting meeting with the Minister for Defence Procurement, Alex Chalk MP, where we discussed DE&S in my constituency and the ongoing support for the Ukrainians.
Met with the residents of Stoke Giffard House on Friday with Carole and David from Bromford to follow up from our previous meeting. Since then, communication has significantly improved and it was good to hear how Bromford is addressing the residents' concerns.
Honoured to be able to help launch the Stoke Gifford branch of the Royal British Legion’s Poppy Appeal this year at Bristol Parkway. Proud to be the Vice President of the branch, and great to see my good friend Dave Bell, who recently received an RBL award for long service.
Dropped into Stoke Gifford Retirement Village to meet some of the residents. There was a Halloween event on for local families. I also met with Neil, Mia and Isadora representing Four Towns Vale Link Community Transport who provide accessible transport for our area.
