I was honoured to speak in the first Sir David Amess Summer Adjournment debate about the frustrating situation with the M49 junction, our local levelling-up bid for the restoration of a Grade II listed WW1 aircraft hanger at Filton Airfield and our local aerospace sector. See the video here: 

Jack's visit to Severn Vale Festival

An enjoyable time at Severn Vale Festival earlier in Severn Beach with my old friend David Bell. It's on until 16:30 and is well worth dropping by.

Jack visits Cafe Compton

Great to drop into the Compton Cafe in Easter Compton on Saturday for their first birthday celebrations. The cafe is open on the second Saturday of every month, it is well worth a visit. A fantastic community event.

Frenchay Flower Show

Wonderful to be back at the Frenchay Flower Show this afternoon, the first for three years. Great displays and some lovely classic cars. I was also very pleased to be asked to present the prizes. Kelvin Bush won several!

Jack's meeting at Giffard House

Enjoyed meeting the residents again at Giffard House with a representative from Bromford Housing Association to discuss ongoing issues. A very constructive discussion, which I will follow up on in a few weeks.

Chaired a fascinating meeting this afternoon with Make UK Defence at a meeting of the APPG Sovereign Defence Manufacturing Capability. We discussed the challenges and opportunities in this vitally important sector and how we can support SMEs to win more business with the MOD.
