I was honoured to be able to visit the frontline in Ukraine on my recent trip. It was fantastic to see such high morale and I was able to speak to so many of the troops. Many of them were trained in the UK and it was great to see British kit and equipment in action.

This Saturday, it was great to be invited to a BBQ at the Ukrainian Refugee Hub at St. Andrew’s Church in Avonmouth. The event was organised by the Bristol Rapid Relief Team who did a fantastic job, thank you to all who volunteered to organise and support the event!
Yesterday, I asked the Veterans Minister Johnny Mercer what steps he is taking to ensure that Afghan refugees who cannot move because of ongoing & acute medical treatment are not left homeless when access to hotels ceases? And whether Local Authorities need to do a lot more?
Today, Jack thanked the Defence Secretary Ben Wallace for his service & leadership and asked him how the Command Paper addresses the bureaucracy & barriers faced by UK & Ukrainian Defence manufacturers which hinder their effective collaboration.
