It was lovely to meet recently elected Longwell Green Cllr Carol Strange this morning, who came out with other local volunteers to help deliver my latest residents’ survey. Thank you to all.
Thank you to Mark Shelford - Avon & Somerset PCC and Stoke Gifford Councillors Neel Das Gupta and Keith Cranney who came to my office today to discuss many issues raised by our residents including anti-social behaviour, e-scooters and Meade Park.
A great visit today to the MPCT Military Academy in Bristol where I met some aspiring learners hoping to become armed forces recruits and had a good discussion with them. I also heard from Huw at the MPCT about the fantastic work they do preparing young people to join the armed forces.
I really enjoyed visiting Patchway Men's Shed today which is open from 9:30 on Wednesday mornings. We discussed how they help the local community including schools and community groups and provide support to people in the local area.
Today is Ukraine’s Day of the National Flag. We are honoured to demonstrate our support and solidarity with the brave and gallant Ukrainian people and nation by flying the flag at my local office.
This afternoon I visited the 60th Winterbourne Down and District Horticultural Society 60th Annual Show. Lots of fantastic displays, I also loved the tomatoes!
A good campaign session in Stoke Gifford earlier, hand delivering my latest survey. Joined by the local team including our excellent newly elected Councillor Neel Das Gupta.
