After a morning of meetings, Jack Lopresti MP visited the new community café in Page Park in Staple Hill. Bean Tree Café opened at the beginning of August after receiving a grant from the Heritage Lottery Fund’s Parks for People fund and is open daily for all to enjoy.
On Friday, Jack Lopresti MP went to The Tumps in Patchway to view the damage caused by the traveller camp. Thankfully they have now moved on but the damage will have to be paid for and Jack would like to work towards a solution that avoids a repeat of recent events.
On Friday morning, Jack Lopresti MP met with Cllr. Ernie Brown, Cllr. Brian Allinson and Cllr. Keith Cranney of Stoke Gifford ward to discuss the recent incidents regarding illegal traveller camps at Forty Acres that resulted in £3800 of damage.
Last week Jack visited the Brooks Café at Coniston Community Centre in Patchway for breakfast before a day of constituency visits and surgery appointments.
