Today I wrote to the Secretary of State for Housing, Communities and Local Government, and also sent a version of this letter to Secretary of State for Culture, Media and Sport, to ask the Government to consider opening church doors on Easter Sunday for private prayer.

Today I raised social mobility in the British Army. I asked about number of serving officers that attended a state school and plans to increase the proportion.
The Minister acknowledged the role of our armed forces in social mobility. I'll write to him and get an answer on numbers.
During Defence questions, I asked the Minister for Veterans to assure the House that Northern Ireland Veterans would take priority in upcoming legislation due to their age and impending legal action.

The community reserve volunteer program from the British Red Cross matches volunteers to those in need, a service which could be crucial at times like these.
