Today at Defence Questions in the House of Commons I asked Ministry of Defence Procurement Minister James Cartlidge MP to update the House on progress made on UK-Ukraine defence manufacturing co-operation.

This afternoon I visited Almondsbury Church of England Primary School. I met with Headmaster Paul Smith to discuss parking concerns that parents have raised during pick up and drop off hours.

I visited Ricky Baines and Lee Tustain from Drone Forge today in our local area. This startup drone manufacturer run by two fantastic local engineers is part of the lifeblood of our sovereign defence manufacturing capability.

Great and busy afternoon in Sutton Coldfield campaigning for the re-election of the fantastic Mayor of the West Midlands Andy Street with Councillor Tony Briggs, the Mayor of the Royal Town of Sutton Coldfield.

Delighted to host the Kurdistan Regional Government’s Newroz Celebrations last night in the House of Commons.

Fantastically supported, lots in attendance including Wayne David MP and Karwan Tahir who is the High Representative from the Kurdish Regional Government to the UK.

It was an honour to welcome military chaplains from Ukraine who have been training in the UK to the House of Commons, along with Ian Paisley and Alex Sobel MP . The chaplains were given a tour of parliament and I then joined them on the terrace.

This morning I joined the Minister for Decarbonisation and Technology Anthony Browne MP at GKN Aerospace in Filton. It was very exciting to see the collaboration with Vertical Aerospace to build the second prototype of the VX4 aircraft.
