Today I held one of my regular surgeries, this time at St Peter’s Church in Filton.

Nice to be back at Babcock to meet with Chief Technology Officer Dr Richard Drake, Callum Pearce and Poppy Pow, where I had an interesting discussion about their innovative projects.

Met with Paula and Andy at Almondsbury Surgery to discuss primary healthcare provision. We also talked about their new access model, being introduced in July, which will enable greater access to clinical professionals at the practice through an online system.

A privilege to have been invited to The Royal Hospital annual Founders Day Parade earlier today. The Royal Hospital Chelsea has been doing a fantastic job looking after some of our veterans for over 300 years. Thank you all for your service.

Today I chaired a meeting of the APPG for Ukraine. We heard from Ukrainian representatives about the need for an internationally agreed legal framework to seize Russian assets for war reparations and reconstruction. Slava Ukraini.

Today I had an interesting roundtable discussion at the National Composites Centre with MBDA, Leonardo, GKN, BAE Systems, Rolls Royce and Babcock.

Delighted to visit The Bristol Port Company today. It was great to meet with Sir David Ord, CEO David Brown and John Chaplin to hear about The Bristol Port Company’s plans for more jobs and growth in our region as well as recent developments in the imports and exports industry.
