Delighted to cut the ribbon and officially open Bristol Vet Specialists' new £13.5 million animal hospital at Western Approach in Severn Beach with the really committed team.
I held one of my regular surgeries, this time at Little Stoke Community Hall on Friday. To make an appointment for a future surgery, or if I can help you in any way, please call 01454 617 783 or email me at jack.lopresti.mp@parliament.uk.
I spoke in the King’s Speech debate, highlighting the progress we have made since 2010 in keeping our streets safe and reducing reoffending. I'm pleased to see so much effort from the government going into maintaining law and order and also recruiting an additional 20,000 police officers.
Delighted to meet with Coral Curtis and Matthew Kendrick from Grass Roots Planning today to discuss the exciting plans for at least 1,750 new homes on the Woodlands Golf Course site.
I attended an event hosted by great local employers Babcock International. We discussed submarines and their ongoing support for the Ukrainian war effort.
It was a privilege to attend the annual SSAFA (Soldiers', Sailors', and Airmen's Families Association) Defence Industry Charity Dinner. We heard some amazing stories about the great work SSAFA is doing and lots of money was raised! It was great to hear from Defence Minister Andrew Murrison.
Over the weekend, I attended the ceremony of remembrance at the Masonic Hall in Bristol. The Provincial Grand Lodge of Bristol is a fantastic organisation which provides comradeship, support and gives so much back to the community.
I had the honour of placing a tribute at the UK Parliament's Garden of Remembrance on behalf of the people I have the privilege of representing in the Filton and Bradley Stoke Constituency. We must never take for granted that we live in a free country.
Fantastic community support and engagement this morning at the Bradley Stoke Willow Brook Centre Service of Remembrance. Thank you to those who organised it and the many local groups who took part.
