A productive day at the Royal International Air Tattoo today. A real shame about the weather, though I had the opportunity to meet with many of our major local employers such as Boeing, Rolls Royce and Airbus. And spoke with Airbus about their proposed replacement for the Puma.
And it was great to catch up at lunchtime with Maria Laine, President of Boeing UK, where we discussed Boeing’s ongoing commitment to the UK’s armed forces in providing us with such fantastic aircraft like the Chinook.
