I have been working with SGS College to help organise the Careers Expo 2023 which offers a fantastic opportunity for students to interact with employers and apprenticeship providers, and universities. The event will be all about students’ potential prospects and what they can be doing to give themselves the best possible start in their chosen careers.
I am delighted to support SGS College which offers a model for education and shows great results in supporting technical education and guiding people into thriving industries and valued careers.
It was fantastic to be able to help organise and attend the Careers Expo 2023 at SGS College Wise Campus. I met lots of amazing apprentices and graduates, with around 700 students attending over two days. My good friend and our excellent PCC Mark Shelford was also in attendance.
I would like to thank all those who helped organise the event and the employers who took part. Including MOD DE&S, YTL and South Gloucestershire Council. The MOD for example are a great supporter of apprenticeships and will have 477 apprentices joining them this year.
