I was impressed with the Prime Minister's apology yesterday in the House of Commons, it was heartfelt and sincere. He has led the country through the most difficult couple of years, and on a personal level his own life was at risk when he was hospitalised with Covid-19, an illness he recovered from and immediately went back to work after.
The Prime Minister clearly realises that the events in the garden of 10 Downing Street were a mistake and in hindsight he wishes that he had done something different.
I agree with him entirely that we must await the conclusions of the ongoing inquiry, and it would not be proper for me to second guess the findings of that investigation.
