With demand on NHS services increasing across the country, Jack Lopresti held a meeting with Maria Kane; Chief Executive of the North Bristol NHS Trust today to discuss NHS operational planning over the winter period.
Jack and Maria discussed the current pressures on NHS services and the impact this is having on waiting times for A&E treatment and other health care services.
Commenting on the meeting, Jack said:
It was a productive meeting with Maria and I was reassured to hear of the regional resilience in the system and the forward planning taking place at North Bristol NHS trust. I was also delighted to hear of progress with the Covid-19 vaccine / booster programme and we also discussed a number of individual concerns which had been raised with me by local constituents.
Jack added:
I urge all local residents who are eligible for the Covid-19 vaccine or ‘booster’ to have their jabs as soon as they can – to keep us all as safe as possible over the winter period.
