It was a real pleasure to meet the Secretary of State for Transport, Chris Grayling MP, and West of England Combined Authority Mayor, Tim Bowles to open the upgraded Platform 1 at Bristol Parkway.
The platform has been upgraded as part of the significant investment project by the Government and Network Rail into further expansion of services from Bristol to London.
The result of this development means companies such as GWR and Cross Country UK can run more services with increased capacity.
I have been fighting for more investment into our region as the transport infrastructure is in desperate need of upgrading. I'll continue to work with the Secretary of State and the West of England Combined Authority Mayor to ensure further projects are delivered for local Residents and businesses.
