Last week I travelled up to support Leicestershire's PCC Rupert Matthews ahead of the 2nd May elections.
🗣️ We had productive talks with Oadby and Wigston borough councillors Mark Smith, Community Safety and Youth Officer, and Cllr Kevin Loydall, CSP Chair, where we delved into local safety initiatives championed by the Police and Crime Commissioner for Leicestershire. Our conversation with Councillor Debbie Taylor, Deputy Leader of Leicestershire County Council and Chair of the Police and Crime Panel, underscored Rupert’s proactive approach to comprehensively addressing Leicestershire’s safety challenges.
🌻🌿 Visiting Whitehouse Allotments, significantly uplifted by the PPC's People Zones Grants Fund with a £9,740.98 investment, showcased the power of community engagement under his leadership.
