Jack visited the Filton Airbus site commenting:
Today I met with Sue Partridge, the new head of the Airbus site in Filton. We discussed the planned Zero Emissions Development Centre which will provide more job opportunities for our area and the prospects for apprenticeships, with a record number of new apprentices starting at Filton in September. Sue started as an apprentice and is now running the Filton site, a great success story which is truly inspirational.
Around 2,200 people are currently employed at the Filton site with over 60 apprentices starting in September, representing a significant growth in apprentices. They also engaged in a discussion surrounding the necessity for sufficient infrastructure and housing investment to ensure long-term economic development for the wider area.
